At the end of September 2019 we celebrated Edward’s 200th birthday with the unveiling of two plaques.
The first is in Marylebone Station in London, the southern terminus of his Great Central Railway, which started at Central Station in Manchester.

The second is in Philips Park, near Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium. It commemorates Edward’s pioneering work to raise the money for Manchester’s and Salford’s first Parks for the People in 1846.
